as a thought, i am sure i am not alone when i say i take too many pics of my bike
but given the chance where would you really want a photo taken
me i would love one of the moody black and white by a american railway crossing and a mega train coming up type of shot, like bob seagar etc etc
or outside a cheap motel

remember to move the bike before the train hits ;)

Wotcha.
Bike piccies - and a few tips.
Go for an unusual angle - everyone's seen side-on shots.
Taken from the rear --- oooer missus (http://www.moonshiners.org.uk/brubugly.htm)
Try to find a different background.
Lettuce pray (http://www.moonshiners.org.uk/tattie2003bikeandabbey.html)
Or just use the sky as the background - get down lower than the bike.
All loaded up and nowhere to go. (http://www.moonshiners.org.uk/images/guzziload.jpg)
Don't be afraid to let the background be the dominant feature - it sometimes tells a better story than the bike :)
Hope that bloody handbrake holds (http://www.moonshiners.org.uk/trikecliffs.htm)

depends on which image programme you have , but you need to reduce image size usually under edit, saving as a jpeg usually helps as well
infuriatingly good fun

Wotcha.
It's Military Road, on the Isle of Wight. Goes from Blackgang, over the cliffs, down into Freshwater.

regarding your tips -
pic 1 - why spend time on an unusual angle if you're gonna forget about the car parked in the background? the angle of the bike draw the eye straight to the white car.
pic 2 - nice background but the rear fender has been cropped off the bike (the equivalent of cutting people's head off in photos) and why not move the bike somewhere where there isnt an official notice spoiling the background?
pic 3 - good idea using the sky but dont forget about the rest of the background. the bike is parked alongside a white line which slopes downwards to the right and makes the bike looks like its on the piss

Good point - time for a bit of image cropping.
One car - removed for the use of. (http://www.moonshiners.org.uk/images/brubcrop.jpg)

One bike - moved as requested ;-) (http://www.moonshiners.org.uk/images/driftabbey.jpg)

Strangely enough, there was a white line sloping down hill . . it's the one painted on the middle of the road . . and the bike was on the piss . . it was taken facing down Clee Hill :)
No excuse - I should have got a few feet further down, and thus lost the road and the white line.

No problem. I don't mind any criticism, especially constructive criticism. Anyway, 'rule one' in our club is " Always take the piss "
See --> what our ex-treasurer had to say about it (http://www.moonshiners.org.uk/shinerspeak.html)
To be honest, I was too idle to crop the first image, seeing as it was only going on the club website, so I deserve to 'get it in the neck' using that one as an example.
The one in front of the abbey - once again idleness was the main reason for using that image . . it was already on the club website, so I only needed to paste a link to it. I should have really used the other image, but that old gremlin called 'Bone Idle' struck again. As for the one facing downhill - once again I was just too bloody idle to crawl that extra couple of foot ( can you see a theme forming here ? ) :p
I really must 'practice what I preach' and try to get out of the habit of taking the idle route.

despite picking holes i liked yer pics - and its nice to see someone here who can take a bit of constructive criticism without throwing a hissy fit!
