I looked at the veypor one but it doesn't record milage only has a trip meter and i think it has to record milage to pass an MOT?

HMM bit tricky that one, it has to have a speedo fitted but its not checked for accuracy etc, but they do have to write in the mileage etc on the certificate, and with mots all becoming computerized etc imagine it might casue a few problems, the unit measures up to 999 miles.
Im very interested in one of them, but sadly its got a few major flaws, ie it has to be removed from the machine when washing the bike, so what about when its raining????
I was thinking of building this onto the dash between the fatbobs on my chop, then decided that it would look mental as a fake mirror, construct a housing for it, run the cables down the inside of the arm etc, but yet again the water aspect concerns me, especially living in the wet sector of the country!!!
several advantages with this kit though, the unit is backlit so making it readable of a night, instead of having some afterthought of a lamp cable tied above the pushbike speedo method.
waiting for them to reply to an e-mail regarding the IP sealing level of the unit, as seems pointless to market a device that is so advanced etc and yet its not waterproof?????

i have already been through this with them - it is water proof - BUT the back is open to the elements - a bit of sensible careful silicone sealant on the back where it plugs in will solve it.. the front is fully waterproof - the early versions were not...
