Sidecar outfits are brilliant fun. Unlike anything you've driven or ridden before. When I got one, I took it to the bottom of the yard, and thought 'I can't ride this!' But once I got used to it it was great fun. Especially when I'd worked out how to get the chair in the air. Always had a job finding passengers, though... :D

sidecars are wonderful contraptions. ive had sidecars for as long as ive run solos, my outfit(1100wing and watsonian oxford) is my family vehicle cos i dont own a car. if yer ever anywhere near lancs youre quite welcome to come and take it for a spin, i can even find a private car park for you to try and go in a straight line !!! :D

especially as it was up for £1500 and looked even better in the flesh.

Sidecars are the work of the Devil. They were invented as a cunning "hedge magnet" to draw me towards at each corner.

I have mental scars from my youth about these things. Although I take my hat off to those who have mastered this "black art".

Then again..... maybe it's me that's just crap?
Who knows

I've never ridden a six either - always wanted a CBX, but never a Z1300. :)

Umm, prewar bike, nope, not ridden one of them either, I don't think. Ridden a Norton Big Four, but can't remember what year it was. Ridden a late '40s Vincent though - that was ace. :D

Sidecars are toooo scary, it was the method of transport for my family when I was a young kid.

When I tried I was mounting kerbs and trying to run over old people waiting at the corners to cross over.......I think I'll stick to 2 wheels as well :)

When I used to race, this guy needed someone in his sidecar for practice as his mate was late. I foolishly agreed to get in (on??) the sidecar for a few practice laps.... I have never been so frightened in my life, fecking loonies sidecar riders, wanna sidecar? get a car!

Taken my sidecar outfit up and down the Alps/Dolomites/Pyranees. bloody good fun and quicker than a solo on them hairpin bends...

Went to Berlin & Barcelona on it this year...even if I did break down 500 miles from Calais.....

Wouldn't be without the sidecar now, especially as the Mrs is expecting :D

Did it sell, BP? I really liked it too.

You either love or hate combinations, a bit like trikes there seems to be no halfway house.

Same thing here, except I was sponsoring a New Zealander who was over here in the early 90's, promoting Speedway sidecar racing!!

I think I shat myself!

All I remember was leaning out of the chair as far as I could reach, him screaming at me to leanout further! I was about six inches off the ground hurtling around a shale track at something like 3000 mph, and I looked slightly to my left and was greeted by a wheel about three inches from my helmet from another rider trying to come up the inside of us!

I'd like to do a trip abroad (nope, never been abroad on me bike. Car yep but not bike). I'd also like to have a stab at doing some enduros again hence getting the TTR250. Its fun spending 2 days up to yer neck in mud and grass and sweat and tears, honestly :D

I want to ride around the UK and also the Alps. I want to take a week in for each. would also love to ride through the far east...doing a long way round style trip from one side of eastern asia to the other.

I want to build a chop and I want that to be the bike I do the touring on (i'd use a jap sports tourer for the far east).
