Have you put in the correct plugs and gapped them?

you probably checked this already but just incase.
are the leads on the right plugs. check the wires going in to the coils from pick ups. just a long shot but ive known a few poeple put them on wrong and practicly rebuild an engine before finding the problem.
does she turn over. does she pop every now and again when trying to start. usualy the case when leads are on wrong plugs. dont know if your bike has got condensers.
do the plugs stink of fuel.
sory if its not much help.

could be any number of causes ya gonna have to back track all your leccy connections! fuses battery solonoid! and the quirky link wires that connect the coils!!! check the pulse generator connections!!

all the electrics on the trike were sound it was a mechanical fault we had so we changed the engine over but the electrics all worked fine, could there be an electrical fault with the e ngine itself ?

spark looks very weak
check to see if your bike is fitted with a ballast resistor it sounds like the starter is pulling too much power away from the coils

Battery must be fairly low, jump it from running vehicle, try to start minimal throttle :)

Do you have a CX 500 "A,B,C or a Euro"
The "A,B" and some of the "C" models have cdi ignition, The Euro has transisorised ignition and will not work on a cdi engine (unless you know what your doing to modifie it :D )
The next thing is make sure you have the right coil on the right side, the HT leads should be exiting the coils at the rear (leads towards the rear of the trike).
If the leads face forwards swop the yellow and the pink wire over!
Any problems drop me a PM
Hope this helps
Rick

I found this site for someone else with a troublesome CX500

http://www.elsham.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/cx500/wontgo/

It's from the CX Owners club and is a checklist of common things that need to be looked at if you can't get the engine going. There's other sections on the fuel systems, frames etc. Good luck!
