My good lady has installed them throughout the house....
.... and they are ab-so-lutely pants.
With my fucked up eyesight I can't see anything for at least 5 bloody
minutes now while they 'warm up', so nipping to the loo is a nightmare
If she wants to save energy....
why the feck don't she turn the feckers off when she leaves a room

I can only use them upstairs, but I get on OK with them, great if you want to leave a light on while you're out. They do give a funny light off though and take a while to warm up.
Got one in the dimmer downstairs and it truly is sh1te!

We got some free from the council, because we are old, supposed to last a long time but they all blew within six months, We have 46 stairs from the door to our bedrooms, with no windows on the stairway, so I thought I could leave some on all the time. Now we just use 40 or 60w lightbulbs and switch them on when we use the stairs! :D John

I've got one on the stairs/landing - it's quite useful cos when I come home after a late shift and Mike's asleep (he starts early) I can turn it on, go upstairs, and turn it off again before it gets bright enough to wake him up!
