I'm a great believer in old fashioned ways.
In fact , I still think that the bride's father should pay you a dowry too.
so if the money's right , then I think you should tie the knot!

GO FOR IT Monkey!Fran & I will have been married 14 years in April, and it's the best thing we've ever done! We're still each other's best ever pal,and we become closer and love each other more each and every day!(soppy or what?)
We had a small family do on the Friday and threw an enormous party on the Saturday night, invited every bike club we knew.A couple mates provided the disco and a band as wedding pressies, and we had to hijack a mate's sidecar (Hello Tony) to get the rest of the pressies home!
You won't regret it m8!!

its an expensive way of getting a bit of paper to tell other peaple what you already know (you are together and you love each others company), but its a good reason for a party oh ye im very happily married to mrs d but that was our choice nobody elses.

If it feels right to you then go for it RM. It's a great excuse for a party! Been wed for 30 years next year, can't honestly say every day has been strife free, but far more good days than bad uns. On the whole don't regret a day :D .

It CAN be done cheaply though, with a bit of thought and asking around. We were lucky enough to find a hotel that gave us the hall for nothing,as they'd held rallies before and knew how much they'd make over the bar!We gave the club I was with at the time (hello West Fife MCC) £50 to act as marshals, rented a field for camping for £50 and got mates to supply a band and a Goth/rock disco as wedding pressies. In fact they made so much over the bar that night we got our room half price!Result!
Okay, prices have increased a bit in 14 years, but you never know.GO FOR IT!
