hello
does anybody know how to shorten drive shafts ( DIY ) i have access to most of the kit i think i will need but i am not sure on the method

Very interesting read.
I was surprised that independent suspension was so bad at high speeds.
I'm wondering now if going for the wishbone set up is a good idea, i've only ever ridden vw rear engine trikes, and they didn't handle to well round bends above 20mph.
Need to make my mind up fast. :)

If you are doing the work yourself then a live axle is the quickest and easiest route.
Yep that link will describe how to shorten half shafts.

Actually it tells you how to shorten driveshafts, but since you have the same probs with propshafts, the same system will work.

Very interesting read.
I was surprised that independent suspension was so bad at high speeds.
I understand what the article is saying but I'm happy with my IRS setup- although I don't throw it round corners.
Cornering required a lot hard at first but once I tweaked the rear dampers, inflated the rear tyres a little more, and made sure that the front tyre was always on the correct PSI things improved a lot.
I wouldn't say IRS is "bad" at high-speed........just not effortless.
