The bands were good, the comedians funny as f(uk, and i never saw you there HT, where the hell were you pitched??????
Saw pat, took out a years subscription for the mag, and what a lovely Guide dog she had with her.
Meet Gypsy and Doro and a few others from the dark side, And had a bloody great time, although now i`m as red as a beetroot and my head hurts.
Great site, great entertainment, only one thing wrong was the lack of bins around where the stalls were set up, toilets were kept well clean and topped up with loo roll all weekend.
Well done to the organisers, same again please,
Boab.
:D
yep we really loved it too
boab & nat were excellent company
a big thank-you to the organisers
looking forward to the oxford do now
we thought there weren't enough loos and I didn't see loo roll in any (that's what baby wipes are for LMAO)
I reckon Boab found the best loos and hid then from us!
we really wanted to see the beer monsters again but were enjoying the chat outside too much - followed by the comics
and thank heavens the rain didn't try to repeat the homeward journey from CW bash
we tried out the M6 Toll Road on the way back, excellent, but we had to pay £2 for a bike trike!!! wonder what they charge for a combination?
am off to see if I can get a refund....
in fact look at this...under 4 wheels = class 1 = £1
ooooo am gonna get me quid back now!

The blokes first bike rally and all his mates told him not to go! Cos he'd never stand a chance amongst all us bikers, good bloke , great 'bike' :D

yeah nice 'bike' but I prefer to see bikes in shows that are actually ridden on a regular basis, seems to be rare at shows nowadays
or am I just too old....can remember when chops were made in the kitchen/garden/yard and built by the rider, and ridden to shows, and everywhere else.
these bikes are really nice to look at and are a wonderment of engineering, but understandably you wouldn't want to use em on the roads, they'd get ruined, and it's a lot of money and dreams down the pan, but I'd like to see more actual road bikes winning shows. Maybe these 'dream machines' should have a seperate category and be 'shown' for what they are?
Then some home builder who rides his pride and joy would have a better chance
or does no-one build their own anymore?
(PS we're planning our rack now, and will build it ourselves, first project of it's type for us both, and yep, we most probably will learn by making mistakes! :p )
will be looking out for the feature on the lambretta cos we thought p'raps it would have trouble going up hills wif a Lambrette engine and all that metal :D

Doro, when I was talking to the owner, he did actually ride it there, he came from Stoke, not a mamoth trip but bloody far enough on that. He also rode it over to Germany a while back to a scooter show where they 'slated' it for being too like a motorbike! He built this 'bike' himself, he did almost everything, apart from the paint(which he designed) and the engraving. :D
In that case I take back what I said about this bike, though it does apply to many others
the pipes didn't look as if it had been ridden that's all
:)

Personally I take my hat of to a lot of the scooter riders. Unlike bike events they dont have as many big rallies to pick from and they're spread all over the country, you get guys from scotland riding down to the Isle of white and vise versa, take the hardley rideables etc. These bikes where never built for covering huge distances but they do.
There a lot more dedicated to their '' Lifestyle'' than a lot of so-called bikers that Ive met.
And I think that scoot looks the business wheteher it had a Lambretta engine or Harley or whatever its a stunning bit of kit.

I know what you mean Doro, it looked 'too' perfect didnt it, but he spent hours cleaning and polishing first, he is sooooooooooo passionate about his 'bike' and he was so chuffed with the welcome he got, he had been really apprehensive about the weekend(he was a rally virgin) he turned up by himself cos all his mates are scooter boys and wouldnt come. But he said so many bikers stop him all the time when hes out on the road, folk flag him down etc just to look/ask him about the bike, he really wanted to see what 'our' lifestyle/shows were like.... and he loved it!! :D
PS and he gets 75mph tops on it!
yeah we were impressed with the work done to it, am even more impressed now at his skills as a polisher of chrome
so does he take it to scooter rallies too?
I love all those quadrophenia type scooters with lotsa mirrors and lights n things
mod became 'big' again when I was 15 so it has memories
I wasn't a mod cos I liked rock too much, but used to hate it when they kept mistaking my type of rock (ie heavy rock) for the 'rockers' that the mods of the 60s had fights with (ie teddy boy rockers)
anyway gotta go do some testing (work ha ha)
let me know when that feature is out Pat :D

I had a bit of an identity crisis when I was 17, I wanted a bike so bad that I bought a nearly new XS250, must of looked a right t w a t with my red harrington and staypress and DM's with red laces and me quarter inch braces and Ben Sherman. No wonder I was always cold on that bloody thing.

yeah we got £1 refunded, and kris said the nice lady acted like we'd lost £100 not just £1
wish the utility companies were like that!
apparently the toll thingies work on 'width sensors' or summat, but we saw the fella in his ikkle box so we didn't believe that! Maybe they should have a manned booth for all the oddities like trikes?
prolly spent more than £1 on fone calls pmsl
spoke to gypsy in beer tent but he was wasted so wont remember.
correct..! he doesn't remember
but Jim told us there are two gypsys on here, so maybe it was the other one
if it was my other half you'd recognise him by the avatars on our profiles
:D
Erm, I thought there was another Gypsy on Bikersweb, I think Gypsy is unique to here at least.
hey Jim :D
when we met you at the Tsunami you met gypsy from BW but now he's here too, but I'm sure you asked him if he was the same gypsy as the one from 100% biker. Well at the time he wasn't, but now he is, confused yet?
lmao
he wasn't on the 'old' 100% forum is what I mean
anyway, tis wallace who needs to answer this
did he meet the gypsy on here now? Or a different gypsy?
must add I was in the beer tent when gypsy was and I didn't see him chatting to any strange scottish geezers, and he wasn't wasted either (seen him a lot worse)
so the mystery deepens.........
