I know it more for london pepes but i bet there still quite a few not from london who know this pub!
Copied and pasted from an e-mail i got:

As you may or may not know, legendary London rock pub The Intrepid
Fox has been sold to developers and is due to cease trading on 11th
September.

The new owners plan to turn this historic pub into flats.

There is an online petition to keep the Intrepid Fox operating as a
pub, by signing it you really could help to make a difference. This
is not just a petition objecting against the pub's closure, it is
calling on Westminster Council to reject the planning application and
further to reject the application for a change of use of the building.

A bit late to mount a campaign of signatures, really :( Does it sell good beer (as in real ale)? If not, you ain't got a hope in hell... otherwise if it did, CAMRA would have got involved - but at a much earlier stage

then again...

as it was built in 1788... there may be a chance. You need to get in touch with your local CAMRA branch... bloody quick.

'KIN HELL that's the only pub in soho I like, the rest is full of poseurs... OK so the Fox also has poseurs but at least they is my kind of Gothy Freaky Grungy Rocker poseurs. Not many central London pubs with ACDC and the like on the musicbox, I always stop in there before clubbing, I got 3 baby seals last time.

I shall sign immediately!

Clubbing? thought they had all gone too, there is the 1 in st moritz but i never liked that plce way too pokey, did have a good ol time fair few yrs back. were sitting there and these swedish birds chat us up, honest! they said i looked like this swedish fellow, turned out to be some porn star, lol.
