Hi, after much head scratching and thinking, I have decided that maybe the best route for current project will be to just use the forks I have and save the money for other projects, instead of buying a new set, the are slightly too long, but thinking that with smaller wheel and maybe slightly cut fork springs they will reach the reqiured length

the legs are about 6 or 8" over stock, but have some minor pitting only 2" from the seals of the forks, they need to be stripped anyway to change the seals and polish/clean up the bottom of the forks, so where does the chroming and grinding of fork legs, used to be advertised quite a lot in mags etc, but have had a quick look through mags in my desk and no joy?

thanks

tony

cheers for that, actually have just got off the phone, over length forks not a problem :) £125 collected from me and then delivered back to me all shiny and done

is such a pain to be honest as the forks only done about 5 miles, then the bike had been parked up, theres just a couple of pits, but both near the seals  really just goes to show the quality of the legs to start with, but hey ho, they going to be sorted soon so onwards and backwards, oops mean upwards

bike WILL be finished for next years rallies and some shows :D

Don't forget to liberally spray WD40 over the forks next time you lay it up..
