You're as bad as me phil! (except I dont do the graftin bit!) .... my chops completely stripped down again. New USD front end with Harris yokes, matching spokey front wheel, VFR8 rear to replace the NC24, Harris rearsets, new tank, new rear mudguard, new paint etc etc etc .....
Nice to see theres someone else out there who has the same answer to 'why dont you just buy another bike' .....!
Keep us up to date on the build eh.
Race ya.

this is the the bikes 7th build, 1st time i`ve changed the engine though
i`ll race yer minxy, well as long as its in a straight line lol, and you let me go 1st.
i`ve also swaped the old engine for a lathe ,bonus or what, its got all the tooling with it too :D
looks like i got a free set of very nice yokes coming too off me brother, their wide glide yokes and he wants narrow ones and i want wider ones cuz the engine is a lot wider than the old one.
the paint is gonna be; frame= candy apple black over gold base
tanks n mudguards = candy apple red over gold base with gold and black trible flames ( similer to the old, but i`m gonna try a 3D look) i bought a air brush, just got to practice a lot with it
I`m also gonna mount the tanks and weld a solid centre strip in and make a clock and idiot light console in it so the tanks look all in one.
i`ve already fitted the back wheel and harley rear caliper, just a few mods there, then line up engine and weld new mounts on, mount oil cooler and make new electrics box. make a new seat and get me sister to cover it
now i`ve got me own lathe i`m gonna make me own footrests and try some grips too, think everything might be round on this build lol

Cool

:-0)

I fink you're prob a bit more oldskool with your stylin than i tend to be chap - especially re the suspension! Like I said, keep us posted. I thought it looked the tits last time ..... but! ... I know how it is ... credit card burning a hole .... not QUITE what you meant it to turn out like last time.

I've promised myself not to touch the motor on the chop but having just bought a set of RS38s .... well ..... ;)
