got a problem with the computer. keep getting black rectangles constantly appearing on the screen. it is really frustrating and my daughter has tried everything to get rid of them. if anyone locally can help it would be very much appreciated. :(

try AVG
it's a free virus download (shareware as it used to be)

Make sure you set the virus update to be daily (if you're on broadband) rather than the default 14 days though. 14 days equates to about 40 new virii/variants at today's rates.
