View Full Version : Sad news.
I didn't know her well, but Heather from Arncott was a biker, knew how to party, didn't take prisoners, and I had great respect for her.
She died in hospital at the weekend, following an incident while on her bike.
My sincere condolences to Graham (Bully, former Thames Valley NABD Rep) and to all of the Grandfathers and Grandmothers.

It is disturbing to hear about so many bikers having accidents, and we are seeing a large number this year, As bikes get faster and smaller and bikers ride lower in the saddle, and as long as the traffic keeps increasing, we are going to get a larger percentage of bad, unlicenced, Joyrider, and just plain careless car and lorry drivers, who get away with murder, I find the safest way to ride is to hog the road so that you are hard to miss, It is getting so bad that if you move over to let a cager pass, the one behind will not even notice you until he hits you, and then it's I didn't see you, you came out of nowhere..Be carefull out there and stay near the middle where they can see you, If you stay at the edge you can be hit by someone coming off the slip road...There are good bikers, fast bikers, and old bikers, but not many good fast old bikers...me i'm old and slow now.John

Got told the news earlier today by Jules (NABD Secretary).
Heather, I raise my glass to you. You were one of the grafters that made NABD what it is today.
Graham, my thoughts and those of all of NABD are with you. You know where we are if you need us.
Cheers,
Byrnie.

RIP Heather...........
Wish 'Him up there' would leave the bikers alone, and call upon some of the millions of evil fukka's in the world instead.
I mean, ya never hear of bad people being killed in accidents do ya? Only good, hard working decent people enjoying thier lives.
Life really is a bitch sometimes.

The circumstances surrounding Heathers death are far more tragic than can be gleaned from this thread, but unfortunately it's not my place to say any more.

Forwarded message from Beemer:
Dear all, it is with great sadness that I have to inform you of the sudden death of Heather Bull, the wife of Graham Bull ("Bully"). Bully is our friend within NABD circles and a regular at many of our local rallies as was Heather. Apparently she suffered a massive brain aneurysm last Saturday whilst on her way back from a funeral, but I am informed that she was with her biker friends when she actually passed away. the funeral is Friday 1st September at Heddington Crematorium, Oxon. As far as I have been informed everyone will be meeting at the Plough pub at Arncott (where the Caldarium MCC hold their rally) and the actual service is at 2.00pm. All members of the Time Lords are invited and many of our regular rally going friends will be there to give her a real biker's send off with a party at the pub afterwards. Anyone wishing to go should make their way to the Plough for mid-day on the Friday.

From what i've been told, she started to feel unwell on the ride back, so she stopped, pulled over, and then had a major siezure due to the brain bleed, and never recovered :(
My thought are with her, her club, friends and family.

Heather was larger than life and her dedication to partying on down with bikers of all hues and colours deserves respect...............She was a great friend and supporter of my club CALDARIUM MCC and she will be greatly missed by us all. The Plough will not seem the same without her happy smiley behind the bar .............you were left in no doubt if you pissed her off, she did not suffer fools gladly and all in all was a "reet champion lass".
My great condolences "Bully", to you and your family...........one thing is for sure, on heaven's great blacktop God better get to fcuk outa the way cos Heather's comin' on through............
Love, respect and sorrow at your loss bro, which is a loss for all who had the pleasure of Heather's company. She will be greatly missed.........

An update on arrangements, as I recieved it.
"Heather's funeral will be on Friday 1 September. All bikes and
trikes please be at the Plough, Arncott, Oxon ready to leave by 3.30
pm. The funeral will be at Oxford Crematorium, Bayswater Road,
Oxford at 4.30 pm. We will then return to the Plough and celebrate
Heather's life as she lived it: with a party, live music and free
camping!
All who knew Heather are invited. If you can let us know how many of
you will be riding in the procession and how many of you will be
camping, that will help us to prepare to marshal the procession and
to know how full the campsite will be! But whether or not you
contact us, please do come.
Many hundreds of us enjoyed Heather's friendship through her and
Bully's presence at biker rallies, their support for NABD, and their
life in the village of Arncott. Heather gave fun and love to so many
of us. Please come to show your love for her on 1 September.
Please NO CARDS OR FLOWERS. Heather supported HEARING DOGS for Deaf
People, so we will be collecting donations for them instead."

I've already booked the day off work mate, there's no way I'd miss saying goodbye to Heather, she was one of the kindest people I've known. I'll be camping coz every time I met her I got more pissed than a pissed bloke from the land of piss (never saw her pissed though, so she either had a hell of a constitution or the sneaky buggar weren't drinkin ! ) and this is my last chance to party with her even though it'll only be in spirit

Won't be there after all today :( , the wifes cat decided it would be a good idea to get under my feet lastnight, so now I'm sitting here with a twisted ankle.
At 4.30 today I'll be sitting quietly thinking of the good times I had with Heather in the past (like the sad bastards do at Arncott when the pub ran out of Newkie and we went out and emptied tescos and the local offie ! ). My thoughts are with Bully and all the family today.
Please do her proud and throw the best party possible I,m sure she would want it that way !!!.
Sleep well Heather we'll all meet again some day and catch up on lost time, When you get to heaven give em hell girl xxx :D
We went, we rode, we celebrated Heather's life.
Many people/bikes were there, and with a police escort the road was ours.
A poignant non-religious service capably delivered by The Reverend. (http://www.100-biker.co.uk/forums/member.php?u=1607)
Back to The Plough, I couldn't drink cuz I had to ride home.
But I'm raising a glass now.
