..... how impressed I am with the folks at the Hex-rated rally!

I guess its not just them, but other rallies since I've been walking with a stick I've usually gone with friends who've looked out for me, also they've been summer rallies, more outdoors and so more space.

But I went on my own, not knowing anyone (except Womble who was busy DJing), and there we were, in a very crowded pub full of very drunk bikers... as soon as they saw me walking with a stick they'd let me thru, or get other folks to move so I could get through, or give me their chair, and I had help putting up my tent (thanks Forest Fred!), and I had a great time!

I know it's been said before - but bikers ARE great people!

:)

Ok, serious mode off now!
:D

Good to meet you again BG. Sorry we had to dash off but I'd got a phone call from the missus to say that eldest son had up-chucked and youngest was screaming and wasn't settling. Thank goodness they'd both chilled before I got back.

And good to meet FF. Just sorry I missed Mitch & Mrs R

Until the next time...

Thumbs up for Hex-rated! Met up wiv a couple of me mates from The Travellers MCC Saturday morning for the dull jaunt down the M40, (wasn't to sure of the way, so we took the boring, direct route,) and got to Bicester mid-day, in the dry - RESULT! Was greeted by friendly Caldarians and made to feel welcome. The sun shone for almost an hour - just enough for the silly games. Had some veggie chilli & chips, ventured indoors for more booze, and started to have great laugh @ the Mr Hex Rated, went to the bar for more booze, then couldn't get back through the 'mass' of cheering girlies to see who won (Can anyone fill me in??). Had a boogie to the 'groovy' band in the eve, got me hot water bot filled up (thank you Munchies) then crashed. Woke to another dry day, (there is a heaven!) and took the scenenic route home. All in all a blinding time was had, cheers. :D

It was one of the Prospects from the Celtics... I was the 'lucky' sod who presented the winner with the cape etc. (as last year's runner up, I had to do the decent thing - especially as last years winner was supposed to defend his title but didn't show up. I can't think why?).

yeah we were sposed to go and see HUW in Coalville then call in at the Plough on the Saturday but unfortunately had transport problems so didn't get to go anywhere :(

well that's not true cos shade and diesel came to the movies with us sat nite to compensate, went to see 'Saw' - fans of 'Seven' will enjoy it - brilliant film, very good ending

plus would like to re-iterate what BG said cos we find smaller local rallies are always the best :)
