Hi everyone, any of you got any idea of prices?
I been looking at a few GL1000 engines for this trike o' mine.
I've been looking at one particular engine on the old ebay; the guy is saying he is just selling the motor, minus the starter, altenater and anything else that is or was bolted to it. The guy say's it's a runner! My Question is whats the rough market price/value of a engine thats done around 50,000 miles?
I am thinking of buying this because I have never found a garage in Brum that would take on an' sort mi trike engine out; I decided to buy bits an' bobs in (engine, carb's altenater, etc) to keep her running. I intend to learn how to do the job's myselfe if an' when they fall due! (I got all the books :D )
I have also found a couple that have no history (in a bike breakers yard) they are cheap £35.00 an' £50.00 repectivly, but the guy has no knowledge of why they were taken out of the original bikes,(Bust frame/bust engine or what?) an' bits are missing! In the case of these two I am interested in the cylinder heads.
Any advice anyone?
