Fuck it, another one gone. Problem was i could see it happening :(
He was a young lad, only 21 and had only had his bike licence for a year. He used to come round and get me to sort his bikes out for him and now he's gone. Worst thing was it was on me old Triumph. Bit pissed off at the mo and got the funeral to go to on Monday.
Hope all are doin fine, TTFN.

Having buried a couple myself this year I've remembered how much it always sucks, but at such a young age it's so much more of a tragedy. My deepest sympathies to you and all who loved him. :(

Worst thing was it was on me old Triumph.

Wotcha.

I know exactly where you're coming from.
Sold my BMW trike to a long time mate of mine, he was dead chuffed with it.
Went to the 10th NABD rally on it - was looking forward to marrying his 'other half' in September, and what happens ?
Some dozy pillock was too preoccupied using their mobile phone whilst driving to notice a very large bloke on a trike.
As a result the trike got written off, and my mate got killed. . . . . . and folks wonder why I sometimes take 'drastic action' with drivers who have a phone held to their ear.

Still thinking about you mate. (http://www.moonshiners.org.uk/sunburntclaws.htm)

Ah well - these things happen :(

Thinking of your mate and his family and friends, this is something we all understand but never get used to. So young, its especially tragic.

Cheers for the nice words everyone, i'll pass them on.
Im a bit angry and a bit, well i dunno really. I'd sort of inspired him to get the bike, helped him and a few others with problems etc on their bikes. I could see them getting more and more daft with the bikes though. There was 3 of them that all took their bike tests etc together. I actually sat up the pub one night and told em that they would kill themselves if they carried on like they were. It just had to fookin happen didnt it
He over took a line of traffic and rode straight into the car that was turning off. Broke his neck clean and apparently knew nothing about it. Dont ya just hate not being able to do more huh. Im fookin awful with people crying and i see his girlfriend and she keeps askin me stuff and bawling on me shoulder, ive got mutual mates asking me to get rid of me bikes so on so forth and the Funerals on Monday. All i can say is roll on tuesday and **** that sounds selfish.
Ah well, weve all been here to many times before and time well pass and people well get over it. I just hope the other 2 lads can still remember yet get over the grief.
Bugger it, im off out on me bike. Sorry for the drivel.

DONT BE ANGRY and take it out on yourself. Just because you helped them onto bikes - doesnt mean you are responsible for there actions.

Many of us older folk in a way were lucky - when we were young n foolish the bikes wernt as quick and not so many cars on the roads. I can remember well at 16 - 18 on me Fizzie & rd250 trying to go faster than me m8's - then I passed my test and have since stuck to legalish limits... Unfortuantly the kids today dont get the time to gain hard won experiance like we did ( on farm tracks and spending at least a year on our mopeds and poss 3-4 years on our 250's before even thinking of taking out tests.

Today they can jump straight on any bike and within a few weeks passed tehre test - and most of them are nowere near ready to be on the machinary they ride.... theyve got no experiance - and worse of all they dont know how to ride responsibly ...........

Lets just hope that his m8's have learnt a hard won lesson ( one we all have to face).. and just maybe they will look at the way they ride and become better riders thru it...
