He's just phoned me. He says he stinks as all he's got is his leathers in this heat. he's finding it hard walking like John Wayne and his whole side is bruised, and left leg. He's bloody starving cause he aint had nothing to eat since we stopped at a brurger van on the A6 yesterday morning and his kidneys ok but they now seem to think he may have some damage to his spleen. he's happy though cause he's getting his bike delivered back home :D

Nah, we'd left matlock cause it was to bloody hot and busy. We'd only just started to climb out of Buxton onto them first real sharp bends. One corner is real sharp then has almost like a double apex and gets sharper. I went into it knowing what it was like and riding a different bike (loads of punch and grunt to hop out of corners). Only thing we can think John is that the front tyre let go on his bike making him veer across the road. He tried to pull it back into the bend to avoid going into opposite lane and lost control hitting the bank on the inside of the corner. Its smashed the whole side of the fairing, air scoops etc but not scratched the tail peice (i had to help the recovery bloke get it on the wagon while the 1 copper that turned up held up the traffic. Back traffic up all the way into Buxton at one point).
To be honest i think the bikes repairable which is lucky cause he hadnt upgraded his insurance (pillock was only 3rd party. He'd been working away for the last 2 weeks. ).
All depends on how his CT scan went (an hour or so ago) as to whether he gets out tonight but its bloody awkward as im picking him up. If i found out by 7 i still wouldnt be there until 10ish in the car then its gonna be a slow drive home etc. Bloody late night.
Cheers all anyway :D

BTW, he came back last week for one on the other arm. P made out he was stinking himself, just so he could spray something nice in the studio. Pissing meself I was. I would've told the dirty bastad to fukk off home and come back when he smells a little better....... ;)

Glad your mate is on the mend Rob, and I hope he's back on the road real soon too......... :D
