Spoked wheels query

OK, Just trying to find out if there are any manufacturers of starburst (or sunburst, or whatever name they go under) spoked wheels, you know, the type that go straight out from hub to rim, and not in a criss cross design.
Do they have to have a special hub and rim, or can normal ones be used ?
C'mon, someones gotta have an answer out there. :)
