Hello everyone. I have not posted for a while, as I have been busy with work etc.
I have spent some time however reading what you have had to say. My man friend thinks this forum comes across as a little 'juvenile and unfriendly' and I must say I am tending to agree with him.
There seems to be some rather sarcastic and bitchy comments passed on here. That I find a little sad :(
I read somewhere earlier that if people come on here only to make friends, they should improve their social skills. That I found very insulting. I cannot remember who said it, but that doesn't matter really.
What about the people who are disabled and unable to get out to meet new folks? Are they sad also?
I originally registered on here to see how people feel about life, laws etc.
Yes, it would be nice to meet new people, as I am out of the country often for weeks at a time, and I find it hard to strike a friendship with new folks as I am not always around. I am not a reader of this magazine. I found the forum by Google when I was looking for chat forums.

There are some people that are clicky Rabidosa but you find that in all walks of life and in all enviroments. Not all people can get on with all people so to speak. It doesnt matter really as if you stay around you'll probably find your own clique/click whatever. I have my own, it consists of ME :D

This forum's raison d'etre is to promote and publicise the magazine from which it was spawned. There are a lot of chat forums out there - by picking this one most people would have the courtesy to actually check out the magazine behind it.

Both my good wife Anita and myself have suffered some quite serious illnesses
lately and the support we have had from members of this forum has been second to none, not only from people that we have met but also from people we have yet to meet.

I have spent some time however reading what you have had to say. My man friend thinks this forum comes across as a little 'juvenile and unfriendly' and I must say I am tending to agree with him.

I doubt that's likely. The woman (and I checked on the past posts) says she Googled to find a chat forum, which indicates someone who only wants to muck around on the internet and doesn't have a real interest in the lifestyle that this forum represents.

I read somewhere earlier that if people come on here only to make friends, they should improve their social skills. That I found very insulting. I cannot remember who said it, but that doesn't matter really.
What about the people who are disabled and unable to get out to meet new folks? Are they sad also?

The saddest thing of all is that I find most of the insults and nastiness, comes from the same few women. At least I think they are women!
All I can assume from this is that they are jealous in some way of the people they are constantly bitching at. I will not mention any names, as it is obvious who these people are.

So, after my rant, which I just needed to get off my chest, I am off to cook my man friend and myself a nice meal. I also have to go to the off license to get some wine.

I hope I have not caused myself some back lash from these women. But then I may just ignore you if you do.

As people have pointed out, this forum is an off shoot of the magazine and I find it a bit odd that people are happy to use the forum but have no intention of getting involved to the extent of bothering to buy a copy of the magazine that funds and is the genesis of that very forum. This forum's raison d'etre is to promote and publicise the magazine from which it was spawned. There are a lot of chat forums out there - by picking this one most people would have the courtesy to actually check out the magazine behind it.

I wish peeps would get into the real world!
