You don't have to believe in a Christian God to be a Satanist, as Muslims also believe in Sataan. As such they believe The USA to be the Great Sataan. However Satanism was named by Christians as a generic term for anybody who believed in the old religion (Pagans) and later anybody who used strange rituals and believed in magic (unlike Christians then). LaVey used Satan as an idea, rather than as an actual entity and to possibly piss the establishment off. If you look at any organised religion it is just a business, with hostile takeovers (Witch burnings, taking over festivals like the solistices etc and destroying temples and sacred groves). The Christian church is one of the more sucessful businesses, although now in decline in the UK. Their main rivals in Europe, Judaism, Islam and Buddhism are strong rivals looking to take their business.

All religion is B*ll*cks, if we are God's children, somebody should ring the NSPCC and report him for neglect. There is only one person who controls your destiny and that is you. The desicions you make in life, controls the flow of your life. Choosing (or evolving into) being a biker, Going out shoplifting, drinking etc can alter the flow of your life. Stealing as a kid seems to be a bit of a rite-of-passage, but if you don't grow out of it the chances are you will end up in prison. Your choice, not some old guy sitting up in the sky or elemental tree spirits, whatever. Religion can be a help and support in times of need, but I've never found one yet, even when I thought I was about to die.

If you have a religion, I mean no offence. This is just my personal opinion. Enjoy it, use it and live your life to the full.

You DO have to believe in the christian god to be a satanist! Thats were saten comes from! Pagens have no conception of the devil! that is a chrisian invention loosley based on one of the pagen gods to entice the pagens into the christian belief system. Muslims worship the SAME god as christians! They only differ in that muslims believe jesus was a prophet and not the son of god! The old testiment is part of the koran! They dont agree with the new testiment though! thats why they have been killing each other since year dot! As a "pagen" myself I find it amusing that people believe I worship the devil! How could that happen? The devil is part of a different religeon! Its like telling a hindu that he worships jesus! Saten or the devil is an invention of muslim, judism and christian beliefs! He does not figure in celtish pagen beliefs! Satenism is an off shoot of christian beliefs much the same as Voodoo is a mix of Roman catholisism and native african beliefs. True pagens have no concept of the devil as they do not ascribe their beliefs to a black and white, good or evil set of values! Woohoo, Satan sounds like my kinda guy!!!!!Only trouble is to believe in Satan it stands to reason that you also have to believe in the christian god and jesus and I'd rather not thanks very much.

I don't belive in god or satan as per the usual beliefs. Satanism is based on a very sound philosophy. It is everything the church warns you about. So who else could be the head spokesman, but the devil?

Although there is a sect of devil worshippers that belive that god it dead, and only satan remains. Although their bleeding nutters!!!
