Being of the Pagan leaning tis a big day.
I'd like to convey joy and happiness to everyone right now.I try to look out on life with a general" sun on face", a bit like new year.Makes me thankful just to be.

Fuck off hippies. How shall I fuck off, holy one :D
so, another long day ahead huh?
Nowt changes then.................... ;)
I went to Henge some years ago for the Solstice, and I must say, it was a great experience.
This was before the fence was put up, which I think is a bit out of order. But then I guess it does stop the wankers who just wanna piss up the stones..........
Henge was not half as impressive as I imagined it to be. Thought it would be bigger, but then thats the story of my life............ :p
I found the teepee valley in South Wales very impressive tho........ ;)

Fuck off hippies.
We knew you'd say that Taff! :D :D
We went up to the Long Man of Wilmington to see the sun up. Very clear day when we set off, however, a sea mist came in and we got totally drenched

Funny place Stonehenge - we went there four years ago.
Bloody shambles.
All the 'travellers' turning the henge into a major bomb-site, their kids using the stones as a kiddies playground and arseholes using them as ashtrays while the police and English Heritage look on  Then there's the plastic druid order! (One skanky greeb almost got twatted by Mrs R after the skank tried pushing her pram - with kiddy on board - right at Mrs R)
If you go to an organised do inside the stones, you are not even allowed to fart anywhere near the stones, never mind touch them or the EHPol will throw you out, even though you've paid £15 or so to go in.
We ended up - with friends in convoy - buggering off to Avebury (driving through Marlborough at 3.30 in the morning was a blast) which was much more peaceful, with some real druids holding a ceremony.
We did leave a lovely surprise (for us anyway) with one of the coppers at Stonehenge before we left. The day before, Mrs R had done some dowsing with a crystal pendulum to see if she could get the result of the England/Brazil game that day (So I could leave it in an envelope at work). She told the copper the result and of course, he thought she was talking crap...
... After Avebury, we headed out to Glastonbury to stock up on incense and stuff. On the way, we stopped for a kip in a hotel carpark.
... When we woke up, the match had finished (England were out of the World Cup after losing to Brazil) and the result was exactly as Mrs R predicted :D We would love to have seen that copper's face!!!

You were at the Long man and you didn't come and visit us? We only live the other side of the hill!!! I can't believe I got up at 3.30am to walk up a feckin' mountain to see not the sun-up but a whole load of rain and mist, grumble, grumble.
What's worse, us hippies or bikers in dresses???:D
