right then some more info. this guy called sid used a 1.6 mk2 escort ghia axle with a 35 4:1 ratio but i need irs and have been advised on a ford granada backend, question is will the ratio match or be similar to the escort, because that matches my bike best apparently. also which model axle do i get, 1.8, 2.0, 2.9 etc.

also dos anybody know of a way to shorten drive shafts (DIY style).
