ok in 100% trike tech talks about using rose type bushes on the irs setups which are more expensive but, my question is what are they and where do you get them from?

rose joints or spherical joints.
type it into google as explaining what they are is a bit differcult to me.
they are often used in susspension, steering etc and are a much more positive way of locating items than rubber/poly bushes. downside is the price and they can sound more noisy in operation than poly/rubber bushes.

demon tweeks sell them as do rs components.

I used rose joints on a car project. They are meant to be harsher because rubber or poly bushes give under stress and rose joints are basically metal to metal. To compromise, I fitted rose joints to one end of my suspension arms and poly bushes to the other. That way I had adjustment on one end and compliance at the other end. Rose joints are expensive and wear out regularly because of the metal to metal situation. I would advise anyone that wants to build a vehicle to read a copy of 'How to Build A Sports Car For £250' It's published by Haynes and I've seen it in Halfords many times. It basically it's plans and instructions to build and race a small sports car. It's a school project type simplicity - the author was a 6th form metalwork teacher, and his whole class were building cars. If you read the book, all this tech bollocks will make a load more sense. Mr windrush or someone similar, should write a trike/bike version of this book.

any decent bearing supplier (look in yell.com / yellow pages) will get you some.

sold by size of bolt / pin that goes through the spherical bit, and come in male and female forms (male has a bolt on it, female a long nut) and left and right threaded versions (right is 'normal', left is backwards)
