Was running when I was given it. I have started to do stuff to it but before I go too far I am going to stop and offer it to anyone that want's it.
We are moving house soon and won't have a garage and it will not do it any favours to store it outside so it's got to go.
Cheers

I am waiting for the papers to come through from the shop where I got it (basically I was given it when I got a car from them) but it's all there.
I was stripping it down to rat it but I will just stop and leave it.

Not at the moment no, it was to be my project bike, but I am going to have to ditch that idea for the forseable future.
I thought it would make a good trike donor engine perhaps.

I hear ya Mrs Minx :)
Tell me more about this freebie Sir.
Running, as in a useable everyday bike that would do me till me trike's done?
Or stripped, as in a very large box of unidentifiable bits?
If it's MOTable without major financial hardship & legit, then I'm the very Monkey for the job. Whereabouts in this sceptered isle do you reside?

Ah -the proverbial box o' bits then. That's a shame.

Right...
It needs, new brake light... Got.
Brake fluid for the front brakes as I had to get a new lever for it.
Possibly clutch fluid too.
I got a choke lever from a BSA to bodge onto it some where as the choke lever has snapped off.
The battery needs topping up and charging but I have some acid to top it up with at work.
I need to get the papers through from the garage.
The milometer needs putting back on as it had been attacked... Or just rip the ugly eighties clocks off and replace with something smaller... My intended plan!
It would then need MOT-ing etc.
It does need a bit of work but it's all there and not in millions of bits. I was given it and I am not one for making money out if it with chums.
If someone is after a project bike like this or the engine etc then as long as they come and pick it from the Aber area then it's theirs.

It's not one of the jap custum cruiser types by the way it's one of the boxy eighties tourers.
I thing it looks kind of funky in a boxy way and was going to be another matt black beast to sit next to my other matt black beasty.

Hmm, a dilemma!
O.K Baldy, if you're seriously willing to let me snatch it out from under your nose, then YES PLEASE, I'll take it -& will reward your good nature with the MMMotors merchandise you wanted free of charge. Either see me at Billing on Sunday or PM me your address & I'll post it to you.
Thrud, YES PLEASE, I'll relieve you of it, but either you take a 100 quid -as a storage fee for hanging onto it till I can arrange transport if you like, or I send the cash via PayPal to HaggisBiker for his Siobhanathon appeal. :)

When I had I was assured by my mechanic mate (he who has fixed my bike :D ) that all it would need is a new front brake lever which it now has, a new tail light lens/red bit... I got a new whole tail light which should look a bit neater but who-ever has it can have that too.. The battery needs sorting or a new battery, you can have the acid to top it up if you want to try it.... And the choke lever needs fitting.
Papers, which the shop/garage is getting hold of for me.
Erm... That's it as far as I am aware, I'll be honest, I am no mechanic nor do I pretend to be, I was going to potter on this but now I need to devote myself to the new house. I would feel bad asking for money for it as it does need a bit of work to get it going but I am sure someone who is a bit more skillfull than myself would find it a piece of piss as it's not in a box in bits.
I would love to see or hear of it running and it could be ages before I got round to it. And it's only going to get into a really sorry state being stored outside the new house. It's garaged at the mo and is clean and tidy allbeit in a non-working state. I am being as honest about it as I can be.

Oh great -now I feel bad! I can pinch it for nowt if you'd prefer!
I'm not a mechanic either. I bugger about with trikes 'n' stuff but fault finding, wiring etc -not my field of expertise, (not quite sure what is actually).
It'd take me a couple of weeks to find some way of collecting it. Probably end up having to hire a Transit or persuade my mate he wants to drive his 30 year old Landy all the way to...where are you? Wales?
Shaggy, I only want it as a Summer hack! Maybe we should do a time share?!
Yeah, I'll take it Thrud & bung the money in the appeal fund I promise, as long as there's an outside chance it'll run & scrape through an MOT without costing me 3 months wages.

I can't guarantee that Manky. I have spent £45 on it so far, I can't say it will be running for bugger all or cost an arm and a leg.
Just being as honest as possible about it. All I can say is was that my mate Al at the bike shop assured me he had it running. And it did not need a fortune spending to get it running.
The engine looks fab, water cooled V-twin, shaft drive. It's got potential.

I applaud your honesty mate. Consider it sold -or given or whatever, but it'll take a couple of weeks to collect if that's O.K
If you can PM me when you've sorted out the paperwork, (no point if it ain't legit as I want it as a daily ride), I'll make the donation & arrange collection then. Thanks. :)

I am going to the bike shop tomorrow as that is where my bike is being fixed at the mo. I will give them another nudge to get the paper work sorted out. I will put whats off the bike bike back onto it... Won't take long.

I'm not sure if that's a compliment or not!
Hmm, hardtail, nice short exhaust, Sporty tank, flat drag bars, solo seat, matt Army green paint.
Hmmm....... :)
Before I start hunting for a way of collecting it, I don't suppose anyone in that neck of the Welsh woods wants to van or trailer it down here for their petrol money & something for their trouble?
Oh & thanks for the shout Minx! ;)
