Mitch as South East Mag rep might be able to help, I'll ask him if he can find out. What region do you live in?

MAG & BMF both offer PLI for biking events, worth giving them a try.

Most motorcycle racing comes under the ACU. Why not try them for help?

Try FOOTMAN JAMES and ask for the department that deals with Special Events insurance. Worth a go. 0121 561 6262

We have all our club PLI insurance through the BMF. Every official club event is covered by the PLI. It doesn't have to be a BMF event.

ex-squeeze-me?

MAG not interested? hmmm. We shall see about that - as somebody else asked where do you live (If you're in Kent, Sussex & Surrey that's my patch and we're doing a similar thing with a bunch of trail bike riding kids)? As long as the group of reprobates - ahem! I mean perfectly respectable types (yeah right) form an organisation they could affiliate to MAG and take out your own public liability insewerants through MAG's scheme.

Let me look into with MAG HQ in the morning - also, it may be worth giving Rick (Thames Valley Rep) a shout to put his weight behind you...

I just had a mad idea (Mrs R hides behind the sofa every time I say those few little words :D) ... What about MAGSport? Surely that's racing (OK, the bikes are a bit bigger) - the Moped lark looks more fun!

Might be a silly idea due to the numbers that might be watching but cant you get the people watching to sign a waver or summat thus not needing ins?
Does it work like that?
i mean if it at an event on entrance to said event get people coming in signing form saying that funk mop raci is been held and if you watch the organisers can not be made liable etc.
Might be a load of bollox but hey, lol

We have moped racing at our rally and we use BMF insurance. Which I think covers us (I hope !)

i think the main problem is that we race at village fetes and such like and pay to do so for fun and we have been quoted between £1000 and £5000 pounds
