You know Martin? He's a dude, he makes the nicest jerky going.
We have not been to any events this year at all and Cosmeston last year was brilliant... At about August time I think it was, it was bloody hot I know that.

Were you at Cossie last July?august time?
We were there doing living history stuff in one of the houses. It was lovely to be in such a place like that. There was a group camped next to us from south Wales, one chap had a Staffy.
Haven't done any fighting for ages. Just not interested in it anymore, can't work up any enthusiasm.

I only day visited last year , but yea thats my lot , the dog , if the same was Jess a little stafy bitch belonging to Rob (gollum) good bunch always up for a scrap and a good piss up, sometimes were not to popular with the living history crowd, well those that eat pottage anyway, id rather naff off up the chinky after the gates close, but we always had a stew pot on the fire. also some take life too seriously and want to sleep when it gets dark , erm ..... we dont ! ahh well takes all sorts.

Used to be in the White Company and the living histroy was the be all and end all for us but our priorities have changed now. I like to get comfy at night and eat cake and put my glasses back on. I still like the fighting but not as much now, I tend to do crafty things. I was making needles at Cosmeston that time we were camped next to your lot.
Jess helped keep us sane, our staffy was in the kennels that weekend and we were missing on that special "love" that only staffies can give. It's like normal dog fuss but more violent.
We are finding the whole living history stuff a bit of a hassle at the mo'. Might get back into it next year.

The whole thing about it , like biking is it is fun , and like biking some forget the point and get wrapped up in the politics and forget to smile, but even though I havent been this year I know i can turn up at any event in soft kit and get blathered and have a good time, so really just do it if its fun, if not do something that is .
Jess is a real sweetie and goes to all camps, Rob wont leave her anywhere , we do tend to have a laugh , our lot done the sponsored walk from Merthyr to cozzie and done well too, we managed to get grants from the council too for tents etc, every little helps.

I look with envy at the people who are plastic campling these days, they don't have to be on show for 8 hours a day to the crappy public and can just have a laugh and do the fight.
It's the rest of the ****e that gets on my nerves too.
Have been tempted to go back to LARP after about 15 years purely for the relaxed nature of it.
