ok it's 23.00 and the pain killers are wearing off.
i'm sporting 8 stitches from a stanley knife on my left side.
i've do karate i joust i sword fight. but it's of no sodding use against a girl on enforced cold turkey who cuts you in your own house from behind.
and why?
well this girl is one of my residents who usually has her meth, sleeping pils etc delivered everyday, except for a friday when they deliver enough for the weekend.
but without our knowledge, they decided it was to expensive doing it that way.
so on monday last, they delivered 2 weeks supply to her. we usually have mild probs with her on a sunday night due to her having taken everything on a friday.
but by tonight she had being without since thursday.
if they had bothered to even contact us first we could have advised them against it, in fact if we had known we would have told them that we would have to evict her if they gave her that much gear in one go as we know what she's like. and not what they see when she's on her best behavior when at the surgery.
so i got cut in the side and i in return i completly dislocated her wrist.
which the police (bless them) tell me that if it was'nt for the cut she had inflicted on me i would be under arrest.
so i'm sore in all ways...
p.s. oh well at least i can evict her now

 I know how you feel mate! We get this stuff all the time on the wards I work on! Only last month I had my thumb broke by a patient who was smashing up his room in a temper! Police wasnt intrested because he was in a psychy ward! Even though he wasnt mentally ill! I digress! **** though! At least you can get rid of her now! Where dya go jousting mate? I`ve always fancied a go at that! Used to be in an Anglo Saxon reenactmet group meself years ago! :)

Seriously hope the healing is quick Dracken. You'll be fu**ing sore for a bit though.
Thankless job trying to help someone like that. I know cos my old man was a heroine addict (always will be registered as one even though he's been clean for 15 years) and I can remember him throwing me round the kitchen when I tried to stop him hitting my mom because he hadn't made his methadone last and she hadn't ironed his shirt properly.

thanks folks. i had gone around the front of the house from the workshop.
maybe she was expecting someone else. i had a 5" engineers square in my pocket which stopped the blade making a longer cut.
ill have to have a blood test as i know she was "hep c" as are most of our residents.
i was glad they did'nt say i'd need blood as i would have refused. i mean it could be some of that weird english brew, or worse, black country stuff :)
i don't joust anymore to be honest as horses are evil spawn of satan creations. i still indulge in sword play usually with a 50" backsword,
well can't sleep due to tender flesh so thought i'd update the website. and low and behold theres a pic of the little black square, on the jig, that saved me from ending up with lord only knows how many stitches.

gawd you poor thing dracken, so many people on here do really difficult jobs, dunno how you all cope, must be hard to switch off too. My mam was a nurse and she was always stressed.
I take my hats off to you all.....Dracken, Mrs R, RM and whoever else works with sick (mind or body) people.
hope you get better soon
and
I always fancied fencing myself
but since pinrut is such a crack shot might end up having a go at shooting (he's a natural, lethal with a crossbow apparently - ooer)
we were also going to visit a castle in Exeter where they do jousting, sounded really good, was a bit far for a day trip from Weymouth though lol
forget which castle it was
but jousting, knights, yeeahhhhh
:D

God, I'm bloody glad I trained as a general nurse not a psych!!!!!
Mind you it's hard to tell the difference some days. I've had patients attack me with anything that comes to hand and generally run amok but have always managed to avoid injury so far - usually because general patients are a bit slower and not so manically fuelled!
Hope you heal up soon m8 - but thank goodness it wasn't an artery or sommat she cut!

And.....aren't our boys in blue wonderful. It's so reassuring to know that when I am lying on the ground having been almost stabbed to death the cops will lean over me and let me know I'm really lucky to have been stabbed so badly because it means I won't be prosecuted for defending myself.
F*ckers.....I hope you told them where to stick it

we have a really good working relationship with the police.
they were not been sarcastic or vindictive about it.
just stating a fact about our sometimes strange legal system that they have to enforce.

Wish I could say the same m8! When I worked in the NHS before we used to have the opposite experience with 'em. Maybe it was just the area I lived in, dunno.
Call me old fashioned, in fact call me an addle brained f*ck wit but I always thought the cops and nurses ought to be the best of friends and support each other but it didn't look like it to me.
Both parties are too full of PC nonsense and it affects the general working relationship as everyone is afraid to so much as look at a member of the public in a funny way.

We had to move cos of a gang of pillocks throwing bricks and **it at the house until one came thru the window missing my 13 yr old by a gnats goolie I was incensed and went out and told them to f*** off .One of these baseball capped highly intelligent einstiens went to smack the wife I put myself between him and her and got popped so I swftly despatched him to A+E only to be arrested for GBH. The only thing that stopped me getting put away was one of the neighbours saw it all and stuck up for us. we'd only made 53 calls to the police in as many days so we weren't really having problems. still alls well that ends swell :D
