well I was reading this on the bbc news earlier
and I'm not sure
they are experts n stuff
but a fractured skull and collar bone?? could it be if the mother was stood up when she gave birth and the baby dropped onto hard ground??
but then again a newborn baby has soft bones (makes it easier to be born) so perhaps the injuries could only be deliberate?
unless the baby had brittle bone disease or summat - there are cases of babies being born with broken limbs
so it's hard to decide
maybe the baby was killed by someone other than the mother? maybe the mother had no choice and was being influenced by someone else (fear/love/brainwashed etc)
either way - for a mother to leave her newborn child (alive or dead) she must be seriously unhinged - at least in the majority of cases
I don't know to be honest
I worked with a lad whose dad was abandoned at birth - I can't think of anything worse - to have absolutely no history :(
I just think we can't speculate until more facts are known
btw did you see the artist's impression of the baby? looked about 2 years old to me, newborn babies don't have eyes like that! and it's not as if anyone's gonna recognise it huh?
maybe they're trying to work on the mother's guilt?
a very sad case all round

I feel sorry for the mother but my spider sense is tingling and I get the feeling someone else did the job, and will probably be trying to keep the mother quiet. As you said a sad case all round

cant feel sorry for em ,yes the mother needs help, helped over the nearest cliff, if the baby did die during birth then the parents should have come forward, however i hope they are found and tried for murder whatever the circumstances
what a horrendous story.......... :(
this woman needs help, mentally maybe, physically definately if the cord was still attatched, and she must be feeling quite remorseful.......but then maybe not.
From what I have read and heard, seems she gave birth and put all the 'mess' in the bag and left the baby where she gave birth.......maybe.
As Doro says, we shouldn't really pass judgement till the true facts have come out.
Maybe she was pregnant by a married man, and killed the baby because he wouldn't leave his wife. Resentment for the baby.....................
I feel sorry for her, whatever the circumstances, and for the baby.
A very sad story................... :(

Sick fucks whoever they are, does,nt matter how the baby died, to dispose of a baby that way is evil and finding the clothes in the same bag means she or they knew what they were doing by trying to get rid of the evidence as well, the twats

what a horrible news article .......... like some folk have said until the FULL circumstances are clear then perhaps best not to judge ......could be anything from an illegal immegrant who,s got in with a pimp and hes killed the baby .or perhaps its a young girl who has been abused and ended up pregnant and was totally totally appauled .Perhaps people will never know .BUT despite what her problems were to lead her to this it is NO excuse!! help IS there if you want it , and what is so sad appart from the fact that a life has been taken is that so many cpls can,t have kids and could have given this baby a loving, secure home.
