Here's the official announcement from Mankind.

FMBs BARNYARD BOLLIX- CANCELLED

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I received a phone call yesterday morning from the site owner, informing me that the field which we use for the rally was ankle deep in water, it wasn't draining away and because of the weather outlook for the next few days, made a decision not to allow anyone onto the site for two main reasons: a) he said people would have a hell of a job getting off the field, which in turn would churn it up, leaving us to foot the bill for sorting it out, and b) all the mud generated would make the roads in and out of the prisoner of war camp potentially dangerous, and the local council would be down on him like a ton of bricks.
Obviously, we are gutted with this happening so close to the rally. we cannot get in touch with everyone, so we will stay on the gate at the weekend for those who turn up.
Emergency camping is in the process of (hopefully) being sorted, but if you know of anyone who was thinking of coming, could you please let them know?

Anyone who has pre-booked tickets, please hold on to them, as we will attempt to organise another site for a month or twos time, but we don't hold out much hope, as the weekend we chose for our rally meant that we did not clash with many others up here in the North East.
If anyone wants a refund, please send your pre-booked tickets back to 36 Third Street, Quaking Houses, Stanley, Co. Durham DH9 7HA with a covering letter giving your name, address and phone number. Please be patient though, i will get your money sorted as soon as humanly possible.

Once again, apologies for any inconvenience caused, but obviously, this situation is way beyond our control. Please can you reply to this thread to let me know the word is being spread? I could do with some help on this one.
