its just that after almost 10 years i`ve grown bored with it and want to do something else
and i know if i don`t like the sportster then i know i can sell it easy
and start something else
i must be getting old

Surely not. You dont really mean that do you?
I've thought about it with the chop which hasnt stayed unchanged apart from 1.5 years it was off the road in the build up to the latest renovation. But it just stands me at far too much money! Besides, there are LOADS more things I want to do with it.
But maybe I'll just get it on the road first eh
I love to see bikes evolve. After this rebuild, the only thing that hasnt been modified or replaced will be the top tube and down tubes of the frame.

as minxy sez, it owes me a lot more money than i`m trying to sell it for
but it was a labour to build up this year, and as i`ve had it for 10 years i can`t see what more i can do to it
i wanted to put a softtail swingarm in it but the cost and work involved is stupid
i ain`t getting any younger, and after the rally the weekend, the hungover ride back wasn`t good for me, as i pulled me back at work at the end of last year it tends to hurt a bit
i love the bike to bits, think it looks the dogs but my hearts gone out of riding it, and i`ve only put 350 miles on it since finishing it
its gonna kill me to sell it but,,,,,,,,
needs must and i think a new project might give me that boost
but then again it might not sell and i`ll have to re build it again
who knows

Then it's time to close that book and open a new one.
Secure in the knowledge that, whoever buys that bike, is gonna spend the next ten years saying, 'Yes. It's Phil's old bike...'

Or, even more entertainingly, saying "No, no, I built it all myself". It happens. :D
