local elections

just been looking at the local election results and it don't look good for liebour if this is happening over the country.

this year for labour, one candidate, majority of 174 votes, poled 1110
2004, three candidates total votes for labour 4092.
this years labour candidate got less votes than he did in 2004 and still got in.

total votes this year in our ward = 3378
total votes in 2004 for our ward = 8930

seems apathy is the thing this year, yer got a vote, use the fecker or don't moan about whose running things.

With only 36% of registered voters believing in the sytem enough to vote
With one candidate getting just 25% of that poltry sum voting for him - he can get in
With this 'representative' not being able to change ANYTHING without bending over backwards for the other councillors to get a majority on a vote
