Yep, but I've now got a HUGE fairing on the bike so I can sit behind that and hide from the weather :D Still considering heated grips as well, I must be getting old.

Went along' coast road to Brighton for a change this morning - along the cliffs. Luckily I had me new jacket on, seriously warm - waterproof, windproof and roadproof (loads of armour) - that with the winter gloves got here as snug as a bug in a rug!! :)

Well I'm glad you got in ok Mitch, I was going the other way (short cut over beachy Head :) ) and it was windy and feckin' freezing!!! And there was a monster traffic jam at East Dean with no overtaking points even for bikes so I sat there and fumed. Bloody 4x4 drivers made sure they parked their buses so not even a bike could get past because they're like that!

Little demon on me left shoulder suggested "Always carry a hammer or a rather large spanner and swing it about a bit in your left hand ... that'd do the trick - they soon move!! ;) "

Yes I think I will Mitch, why is a 4x4 driver such an amoeba that he deliberately parks his train where I can't get through. Is it the power of sitting 10 feet up in the air in his spotless vehicle that has never seen off road, or is it just that he has an exceptionally microscopic knob!!!
Lucky for him I don't have pmt today :)

Lost count of the times I've had a job up the motorway in the depths of winter and stopped at every services to heat up my helmet (fnurk fnurk) using the hot air dryer! Glad I don't go outside the M25 too often now! :)

I was standing outside the back door at work one night, havin a ciggie, like you do, and some one passing thru said "Bit cold to stand out here isn't it? Oh I forgot, you're a biker, you don't feel it unless it's ten below"
It is a bit true, I don't feel the cold as much as I did before I started riding.
The odd thing is, now I'm on a trike I'm more inclined to leave it at home when it's cold and take the car. Or maybe thats just cos of havin the leg problem, when I leave work at 2 in the morning, it's so much easier just to get in the car instead of having to get all that gear on to keep me warm!
