I've just gone and got myself a Z650 been monoshocked etc originally an 83/4 model with electric boot only, but engine has been changed for earlier one with kickstart and electric boot,it's fitted with a Boyer electronic ignition and the later cv carbs at the moment, and before I go looking at it,I just wondered if anyone else has had a play around with these and is a fount of knowledge?
cheers

jealous
had z650 years ago, kinda bullet proof, and a lot of bits (exhausts etc) come up on ebay.. rest is easy enough to find through normal suppliers
What they said. A full range of parts is available from www.z-power.co.uk

I've done a couple of swaps from CV to slide carbs on Z650's due to carb probs, lying around for years with petrol in, crapped all the carbs. Other than that they are usually pretty reliable providing you change oil and filters regularly :)

this one's got cv carbs on and it's a ****e to start from cold,no1 stays cold until you rev it heavily, luckily I got a set of sliders here ready to go on.so I'm going in!!!If that's the worst it can throw at me I'll be happy AND I'll have some spares here for anyone who needs them: 1 engine all in bits the cv carbs fitted say gt750 on the side just to give you all a clue!
cheers all
