What do you expect when the government take nearly 50% of everything you earn as tax of some sort or other?

Here is something that has always puzzled me, when the Bank of England put the interest rate up and mortgages and loans follow suit the amount of money taken out of the economy in extra interest - where does it go and who does what with it?
I think we should be told!!

We don't have a bank account we have a large cosmic black hole into which we throw small sums of money occasionally never to be seen again as it flutters into infinity and beyond.
Oh how I long for the day when I am not a student and earning a half decent salary again!!!!
On the plus side - I can earn up to £400 a month without being taxed in my part time nursing job in addition to my pathetic NHS bursary that they expect us to live on.

you guys (gals) think you've got it bad??

I've just finished my accounts for last year, ready to give my accountant
gross income...£35,600.70
gross outgoing.£38,148.57
net profit.......-£2458.00 (yes thats a minus)

it was a very bad year for me...:(

I lost three months at the beginning of the year when due to the assholes at the licencing dept at the local council, i couldnt work

here's looking forward to a better year this time.......

i think talking about money is just so vulgar darlings. the vast sums i earn working for the local council leaves me with the problem of just what to spend it all on. anyone smell bull****?

Always read the small print if offered an "E & T" bridging loan, or be prepared to never see your first born again.
