i have changed the engine on chop from a cb550f to xj600 and was wondering how you go about doing the drive ie rear sprocket and chain do you use cb chain and sprocket or xj :)

if everything is in alignment and id go for the xj fyou can get a corresponding sprocket(or get one made) if they are thew same pitch chain no troubles whatsoever use wot you got....

If you have a look on ere DID chain (http://www.didchain.com/hondapage2.htm) you'll find the chain size on both is 530 (the cb550 ain't listed but it's the same as the 500 which is listed) if your using the CB wheel the sprocket might be to small so you might have to get a bigger one made or try a smaller engine sprocket, as a rough guide one tooth difference on the front is about 2-3 teeth difference on the rear.
You can get front sprockets plus or minus 1 tooth from here.

you should be able to got aftermarket chains to cut to size and the sprocket wouldnt metter, maybe an aftermarket sprocket would be better than using an old one.
