general message Please read

[Mental Dave]

Hello everyone this is Mrs Mental, some sad news. Last night Dave was hit by a lorry whilst returning home from visiting his Daughter down in deepest Surrey. I've just come home from seeing him and although very smashed up he is going to be ok. He has breaks to his left upper and lower leg, broken pelvis, right arm and two fingers. He is already complaining about being locked up in the hospital and seems to be more worried about the state of the bike which is a complete wreck, we are trying to arrange for him to be transfered to our local hospital, so at least he can be visited by all his mates. He wanted me to come on here and tell you (in his own words) that he is gonna miss all you mad bastards and he will be back posting again as soon as poss.

Thanks for your time, and I'll pop back on from time to time to let him know whats going on and any well wishes.

Thanks for all your kind wishes, I printed all of them and took them into the hospital to show Dave, he did'nt say much but I could tell he was surprised at how much you all cared, and although he wouldnt thank me for saying it, he was very touched by your concern, he wanted me to thank all of you. I spoke to the nurse looking after him and she said they will let him come home soon if someone is there to look after him, so his mum is coming to stay to help me, she is a nurse so it should'nt be a problem. With a bit of luck he should be home soon.
