I know a lot of you guys out there work within the mental health establishment and wonder if you could help me with a few questions:

I am worried about someone who is considering treatment within The Priory Hospital. He has been advised that he will be booked in for a minimum of 2 weeks ( at £4K a week!) for blood tests and general observations. I am bothered that he will be climbing the walls being unable to ride his bike , listen to his music and live the life he loves , within "no time". I worry that this may be misunderstood as part of his illness , along with the fact that he just doesn't "do" group therapy and may well punch out a nurse or doctor if they take the piss.
If this should happen , then how easy would it be for this establishment to "section" him? That is the main worry throughout all of this.... the fact that this guy doesn't behave like "the average Joe" and won't be understood as such.

All help is most greatfully appreciated.......

This isn not my field, but does a memeber of his family not have to sign the forms before he can be sectioned? Surley if he has voluntarily gone to the clinic, this proves he is in addmittance that he needs help?
Poor bloke. I hope whatever help he is looking for, he gets.

Mate of mine has just been through rehab. 2 weeks - wasnt cheap and he completely flipped out but the staff are used to that. And it was certainly beneficial to him. Why not check out the website? And they cant just bang you up as stark raving for nothing. This rehab thing is becoming more and more of a prop and more accessible to 'ordinary folk'. To be considering it, life has got to be getting pretty tough as it is.
