Why do these bike shops rip you off all the time
i`m not talkin main dealers here, but a local custom shop
a couple of the lads went to this custom shop to get some bits for their
harleys, so i ask em to get me a 90 degree banjo and 2 new banjo bolts for my back brake on the chop, which is a harley set up
they phone me from the shop, 90 deg banjo-£21, bolts £7.99 each
WHAT THE FUCK!!!! £21 fpr a banjo??? they takin the pee
so told em to forget it

so i was out in the van at work and passed a factory unit with the name JLS motorsport on the front
so i pops in to enquire, banjo & 2 banjo bolts (stainless) blue brake hose 2mtrs
£30, fuck me backwards i`ll have em
they had a little display on the front with blue,Gold & silver anodised double banjos at 25p each, plus other weird banjos n jointers
pity i didn`t need double banjo bolts

replacement oil coolers go for £28 + vat to fit a bandit 600

superb place, they do braided fuel lines, coloured and stainless brake/oil hose
and all manor of fittings in ally, anodised, stainless

told em how much the custom shop wanted to charge me for the banjo and they couldn`t understand why they charged so much for em

so hunt round and you can find cheep parts

I used to love going to Vale onslows, boxes and boxes full of spares and they used to let you mooch about for your part.

XBR500 kick start release mechanism, Vale onslows. 1997. ;) he had them SOS things that he built all over the shop. Even had Ken with me.
RG's where about 2 doors down towards town. they where a little hit a miss too but you always felt better going to to the old boys.
They stopped doing Jap stuff after 99 as i remember.
