I don't understand why I keep reading referances to converting bikes to trikes (on various sites) where people believe that if a bolt on rear end is fitted then the vehicle doesn't require an MSVA test..
While I'm all for bending whatever rules are there to be abused, people should know when they are pulling a stroke; and if it has three wheels on a symetrical wheelbase then it's a tricycle not a bicycle and is therefore subject to the MSVA test.
This isn't me being a policeman.. I'm simply trying to let people know the score.

The trouble seems to be that a lot of the DVLA folk are still confused, I was talking to a builder from Bedfordshire only this weekend and he was told quite a while ago that if its a bolt on/off back end that it doesnt need MSVA so he has been building those and he just mot's them and thats it.... he was told this by his local office when he went along, he has done LOADS this year!
