Just been told I'm flying to Iceland on Wednesday - thought I'd be home til end of October, but there's been an emergency and I have to go. So I'm afraid I'll miss the party :(

Due to the fact that I've only been at sea for about 6 weeks this year, I'm afraid I can't rebel on this occasion (plus I've asked em to ensure I'm home in April for sister's wedding), so I'll just have to risk your wrath :eek:

I'm a ship's officer on scientific research ships. Due to various factors beyond my control I've been forced ( :D ) to stay ashore most of the year. But they keep paying me :) So I'm happy :D
