Erm... gettin' a bit nervous and excited all at once here...

Just about to start the dry-build of the bike  got all the holes sorted in the mudguard, taillight and numberplate bracket (they all seem to fit together, tho' I've had to do one of my famous bodges for the indicators!). I'm gonna see how it goes...

Wish me luck guys!!!!

Another thing... Pat, can you please stick a mention in the mag for Robin at Mallard Metal Packs to say thanks!! I ordered (like a last-minute muppet) the aluminium plate (14" x 14" x 2.6mm) for my seat new on Tuesday and it arrived this morning - I'm dead chuffed!! I shall go to the ball on the bike (here's hoping!!) - Sound bloke!!

Cheers Fayji

Not been soooooo bad - tho' most of the holes must have been drilled by a cross-eyed lion or something as most of them are in some way a gnat's out from the one opposite... (me!)

Managed to get both mudguards to line up (the front one's a fraction pissed but it's OK - where I mounted the plastic one off the Gixer12 onto the original GT Mudguard bracket - so I could keep the original mudguard mounts), the taillight and indicators are wired up and working - Phew!!!!!!!

Number plate's on - that was a twat and a half with the brand new black and blacker drill we bought from Bollox and Quack (their own brand version)!! I hope the jigsaw we've got is better when I come to do the seat, otherwise we're gonna have one very pissed seat!!!!!! (plus one very pissed off yorkshireman!!)

Anyhow, I thought I'd leave it all put together overnight so Mrs R can see how it looks in daylight when I've gone to work tomorrow! After that, it's all coming apart again for painting - starting Sunday! - Deep Joy!!!!!!!!! :D

how true, a lot of luck has come into all this, as there's bugger all skill involved :o I've made it an effort to do what I can myself, of course the proof of the pudding will be me turning up at the party on it

the nosecone, I think Dracken got it very close with a DT125LC one (even the yamaha experts who advertise in Classic Mechanics couldn't figure it out), however due to Mrs R's bike getting its engine sorted and the forum party, it can wait a month or so (also I've been quoted £50 for light and fairing by one breaker - will try to shop around). I've also got to get myself a winter bike jacket at the end of the month as my leather leaked like F'k t'other day when it really chucked it down

Cheers for your encouragement mate, it's appreciated!! ;)
