If you want to get rid of a tree or two from your back garden, do you have to get a tree doc in ??? Does anyone know ?

TG wot sort of trees are they and can you find out if they have a protection order on them or any trees close to where you live, in the last 5 years i have taken down 80 + wild oaks to clear our garden, it was only when we done the last couple that the planing enfrocement officer came to see us (u gussed it some one put the bubble in ) anyway he said he would be back to let us know wot action the council was going to take, instead we got a letter to say that no action would be taken as there was no protection orders on any of the trees here.

WE cut all ours down our self just stand well clear. :D :D
some of ours where over 50ft high

property is owned, there are two tree's which are pretty big and at a guess the roots go over to next door maybe. Have no idea what sort of tree's they are though, roughly about 20ft high at a guess

it might be worth waiting untill the leaves have dropped because they make a hell of a difference weightwise

you can cut yours down, and it dont have to be a tree doc
the roots are the problem and you will need
to either
Poisen the roots
or dig them out with a special machine from your local hire shop (thats what the did with our eucelyptus tree anyway

the stump grinder is pretty cool tool lots of bits flying everywhere

i would recommend the stump grinder rather than the poison (especially as i aint got a clue where you get the poison from)

Dynamite works well on tree stumps. Dont try to pull them out with your bike or car, buggers the clutch up.

you can get root killing stuff from places like wilkinsons (don't know if they are in your area) all you do is make a hole in the stump, pour the crystals in the hole, cover it over with a placcy bag or something and after a few days the crystals desolve and get taken into the roots and kills them.

worked for me

drill some holes in the stump and fill em with creasote, it rots the stump from the inside out and kills the roots
