Need some bits for my Z400 chop, front forks and regulator/rectifier being the main two at the mo, been quoted £20 for reg/rec and £50 for front forks. This sound about right? It's quite an old bike.
Or has anyone here got any bits?

Nah, You're OK here, it's a bike related question after all! :)
I just got some GT750 forks off a bikerswebby type for £40 - OK I had to put fork seals in (another £40 - thieving twats!) but that's not bad...
£20 for a Reg/Rec unit... Should be a good night at the Forum Party eh Shudy? :D (sounds about right, though make sure you test it as soon as you get it home)

I know they guys I'm getting the bits off, and the reg/rec looks like its brand new, they wanted £70 for the forks, but I knocked them down to 50!!!
Was looking to change the wheels, it's got Akrondts on at the mo, don't really trust spokes, what ya reckon?

sorry but i'm always amazed what people pay for some parts! £40.00 for seals..
gt750 uses a 36-48-11 seal. 36mm inside diam, 48mm outside diam, 11mm deep.

If you can change spark plugs, you can change fork seals, just takes a bit longer!!

depends on how ****ted up the original seals are m8,just done a sey on my z750 forks, took me nearly 3 F***ing hours, and the bike I got the forks off was beeing rode until the day before. And I have the right tools and years of experience. As easy as changing spark plugs, "My arse"

Well, i've never had a real problem, done a set on a Bandit 6 last month, and I've got a set on a GPZ750 turbo to do in the next week or so, just waiting on the bike.
Maybe I've just been lucky so far.
