Shaddup Mitch you git! Teehee, here goes:
Well I'm always bitching at Mitch because he is a bit clumsy and spills things on the carpet a lot like coffee and (yesterday) wine all over me lap! :)
I was varnishing the skirting boards with dark brown varnish in order to make our old house look nice for sale, tripped on the stairs and the whole pot of varnish flew out of my hands and totally exploded all over the nice new wool carpet in the front hall - varnish everywhere, light brown carpet, one distraught Mrs R who thought our chances of a good sale were now b*ggered!
Thinking quickly I drenched the whole carpet with a bucket of water to stop the varnish drying out and rushed out to B&Q to hire a carpet cleaner for £13.00. As I'd wet the carpet it all came out a treat much to my surprise:eek:
I totally wrecked the carpet cleaner though, it was all glued up with messy varnish - they never checked it when I returned it and we moved soon after. Somewhere, someone at B&Q is fuming at the state of one of their carpet cleaners :D
