Anybody here had any problems with Bulldog Broadband?
I was thinking of getting a different internet supplier and had a look at theirs, and filled in the form requesting info on their packages through the post, which i never got.
Now they keep phoning us, sometimes three/four times a day. This has been going on since before xmas...we have told them we are not interested over and over again...and emailed them to tell them to stop bloody ringing us all the time, we are not interested and we will be telling everyone we know to avoid them...and they still keep ringing! We just put the phone down now, but its still annoying..
Anybody have similar problems? Anybody know how to get them to go away?

Any idea if telewest's any good? We are on Bt, and we'd be getting internet, phone and Tv for a couple of quid more than we pay for just bt broadband.

Register with the Telephone Preference Service (http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/) (you can do it online) and then once your number is registered, any companies cold-calling you can be bollocked for it.
You can now register mobile numbers too.
If anyone calls you, just say "I am registered with the Telephone Preference Service and you are not allowed to call me for sales calls". They usually piss off PDQ.
EDIT - just noticed that Captain Smurf has mentioned TPS in another thread. Great minds think alike, eh?

I got bulldog when it was offering 4 meg broadband and when it went online ...I was getting 8 meg.....mistake on thier part I though so say nothing and just get on with it....
Started out ok...8 megs constant carrier and no dropout or fades......one month later speed started to slow up a bit...getting 6meg now but, "i'm only paying for 4" so say nothing about another month or so and started getting dropouts, disconections, and even less speed. Running at about 3 meg now with constant drops and frequent disconections....ITS CRAP I think they have thier contention ratios set too high, but they wont tell me what they are when I call them with complaints
I was thinking of adding thier number to my " Friends and family " list as I phone them so often..
I'm looking for another supplier @ the moment but has to be in my price range unfortunatly I cant get cable or satalite so I'm stuck with limited choices

Plusnet, had no probs with them and they recently upgraded my connection to 2meg for free and it will be going up to 4 or 8 soon at no extra charge, all the fuss made about higher speeds is i find overated cause once you have 512 or 1meg then the extra speed doesn't generally make just surfing any faster and it's only useful when downloading and that speed depends on the speed of the server your downloading from, it's not often that my 2meg connection actually downloads at full speed.
