Joining the FZ6 Fazer in Yamaha’s street line-up for 2004 is the new FZ6. Featuring the same overall engine and chassis specification as its faired counterpart, the stripped-down FZ6 comes with no fairing, giving it a more streetwise, aggressive look. Aimed at young, extrovert riders, this punchy new 600 brings new levels of performance to the naked middleweight sector.

Within the new Fazer 600 beats the heart of an R6

Tsuyoshi Shibata, product planner at Yamaha Motor Europe remembers: "We decided to let the new Fazer really jump up in terms of technical solutions and design. The only way to free the engineers from restrictions was to give them a free hand to start from scratch. And they did. The new Fazer is new and gives you a new riding feeling as well, without sacrificing its basic qualities of the past."

Picked it up on friday, said to "Matt" the sales man, "so whens the first service and how fast can I go?"............. "ok" says matt "no more than 7000 reves for first 600 and then it needs a service"..................OK says I............." Ill see you next week" ......................and he fuckin laughed at me "yeah right" he said..................already got 510 on it, went over woodhead yesterday and just been blasting out and about, can get 85mph @ 7000 revs .............. fan jolly tastic only redlines at 14000 :D

I hope the seat is more comfortable than my Fazer! I get numb bum after an hour or so on mine! I'm afraid mine's going up on ebay once I've worked out how to put it on there!
