Not too bothered where, but maybe fairly central-ish (selfish reasons - if I have to work I'd like to be able to get there for the evening).

Hopefully I'll have wheels by then (Might be a 125 if I can't get my test by then  ). So long as I know in advance, I'm not fussed, so long as I can camp.

Well July is a no no for me, way to much on with wedding duties and the likes. How about somewhere a bit more central to like maybe leicestershire, Warwickshire etc? Just a thought.
Oh, let's just do them all! ;)
Party time! :D

That makes 100% a bit elitist don't you think?
In what way is a private party elitist? When you have a party round your house, I suppose it's completely open to the general public is it?
Had you read my post properly, you'd have seen that my point was merely that a specific forum party would be more conducive to peeps from the forum having chance to meet other peeps from the forum.
after seeing the state the outside loo got into  I would not recommend letting this lot party in yer home
anyway - Freak's place of work is a big warehouse with a beautiful manicured lawn at the back for camping
it's his diplay cabinet lol

I like the idea of a Forum party for Forum members,The bash at the Plough was excellent, but with limited time we had to spread ourselves thinly to try to meet everybody, didn't manage it,and those we did meet we couldn't really talk with as much as we wanted (the band, whilst good, didn't help in that department).I reckon a do at Freak's would be just as much of a laugh, but a bit more laid back. Now we've met (most of) you guys we want to meet you again! :)

A nice idea,Jon,but the only biker pub we know of is changing hands in the next month or so,and we've no idea if it's gonna change. Also accommodation would be a problem from April to about October cos of the tourists, and we really don't have the space to put anyone up. :(
Mebbe Bunbag can suggest a pub with camping in the surrounding area?Rest assured tho',you won't get away from us THAT easily! :D

The good points..
Easy for places to stay
Its central
Its got good motorway accessl
Jax etc did us proud (and we should all help out fellow biker buinesses)
plenty of choices for food etc
we could be on our own (as a forum group)
JPP has been there (and "should find his way back ok" )
I can dump mrs BH and the kids at the pleasure beach
Bad points...

Bloody well can be. We have snow most years at some point over the weekend. But that's what makes it a winter rally. We do expect some folks to arrive by car but would respectfully ask that folks let us know beforehand where possible as we don't have a lot of hard standin for cars an' if it's wet gettin' into the field can be a little tricky .... especially if like some bloke last year you turn up with a bloody Winnebago (which will not be back on site this year). Hey ho, let us know if ya comin' along. Should be fun, has been every other year :D

The guy is actually a good bloke but after we'd pushed the bloody thing to get it into the field (the frozen ground had turned a little boggy by then) he came to the side door in t-shirt an' shorts to inform us it was 80 degrees inside. Guess what ... no smiles  .

Just my two pennorth...
The whole reason we held the last one at Blackpool was that we didnt want a band intruding on our ability to mix in and chat, it was a get together and party , so folk could meet up and get to know each other. Whenever you have it in a PUB/RALLY music unless just queit background stuff will always interfere in that.
So if I'm around a do at Freaks place where we can all lounge around on the grass get pissed and talk , have a laugh etc get my vote every time!.
no.......................

Good point, i think the limit was 16/17 bikes ....??
well if we have a couple of popular choices we could always have one in July and another in September? :)
anyway this is just the venue poll - once that's decided we will have a date poll :D

How many are going to the Farmyard ?
Me and Mrs R definitely, providing she's not in a drunken coma after the end of her degree course the week before!!!!! :p
And as for venue... Freaks place sounds like the absolute dogs. We can get beer in by the barrel I reckon for those of us of the real ale persuasion.
Our only problem would be the date... Mrs R's sister's wedding is at the end of July. At least now her red-setterness hasn't got to panic about being Matron of Honour. If we can persuade sis to have the hen do in April... then we'd be sorted!!! :D
I've been effectively banned from organising another bike show in July so that's OK :D

I'm in favour of having a Doo at Freak's, just for forum members.
I'm sure we can come up with our own entertainment. Maybe, have a jamming session if some folks will be kind enough to bring a guitar or two along if possible? Unfortunately I can't play anything and I'm tone deaf!
7th July sounds good for me but, most weekends after March are pretty clear at the moment.
I did think maybe having a bash on the coast somewhere might be an Idea. Blackpool comes to mind but Is a bloody long way for me, and the parking was crap, and expensive if going by car! bikes at Jax in the summer may be very limited?
No, I'm still in favour of Freak's place.

Ya mean this one......
I've got a pub out in the sticks between Worcester & Birmingham. We have 12 ensuite rooms, and camping for about 20 tents. Also large carpark, small function room & outside patio.
Obviously biker friendly.
Four real ales on at any time (Cask Marque & CAMRA rated). Carling & Stella for the lager boys and Strongbow and Old Rosie for the cider drinker!
Would suit small rally or club party.

I agree with shifty, a private party isnt being elitist, just as anyone selects people to go to a party they are throwing.
July would probably be a bit tight on alot of people as it is dead in the middle of rally season. I have some weekend pissups round here in south cave, a farmer is happy to give us his field for a weekend, we bring a sound system, gennies and grills, light the bonfire and just have at it then crawl to our tents.
If this is appealing to anyone, well first one for me is on the 1st of july, sort of a pre independance day party, its bring some grub, a bit of booze and your sleeping gear!
If you want to make this part of the get together your welcome to

its an open invite, I do food and music. Last year we had near a hundred come through the house, thats why its moved out to the field ;)
Me an my mates will be running the grill, booze is (classily) put in a big bin with ice and the music goes from rock to country.
This is done in a good yankee BBQ style, if'n ya come, bring a bit of grub and some booze to throw in the pot and have a great time.
Last year I grilled up 4 chickens, 4 racks of ribs, near 15 pounds of shredded beef, about 100 burgers and 100 dogs, made mexican bean dip, my own JD BBQ sauce, hell there was no shortage of food.
This year will be about the same cept with people bringing their own tents? no worries on driving home, ought to be a blast.
I think the best part is its bikers and friends/family who arent and everyone got on perfectly.

Sounds brilliant tease and I don't want to seem awkward but have you considered how you stand under licencing laws? From What Mad dog said last year about them, you might have a problem but I'm no lawyer. Might be worth looking into?
private party, fek em.... ;)
tease sounds fekkin great :)

thats all it is, private party on private land, no money changing hands so nothing to tax
The ONLY set back is that it backs onto private land near cave castle, the people there are fine, no probs but they ask to have the music down by midnight.

July 1st in South Cave.
Bring some grub and some booze, a tent to sleep in. I will have American BBQ on hand but no telling how long that will last ;)
Music is a mix of country, rock and blues, but all yank stuff as it is a pre independance day do.
Unfortunately no fireworks as it is a farming community and there are animals about (not just us either)
Excuse my lack of knowledge but were on gods earth is south cave.
