right then as some of you might have read on the forum I very recently got the above bike, anyway after actually looking at it I have decided that I cant possibly chop it, far too good for that ni my opinion

have just taken it for a ride up the road tonight, and is really nice, very comfy and gearbox etc is great, once warmed up the engine revs well and has no nasty noises

its in the mettalic purple colour with pinstriping, the front pipes have quite heavy surface rust, but been fitted with smart replacement silencers

other recentish parts are rear shocks, battery, tyres, chain and plugs

its showing 25k miles and have no reason to doubt it, footpeg rubbers are excellent and general condition of the bike for its age is very impressive

the laquer on the tank is lifting on the edges of the tank and is really the only let down, the chrome chain guard is good, the rear musdguard is abotu the only bit of the bike that appears to have suffered in any way, 3 or 4 patches of surface rust about the size of a 5p

was mot'd about 1 week ago

nothing at all to worry about, only thing that I would like to change if I was to keep it is the dust cap things on the forks that cover the oil seals, they have obviuosly perished and been repaired with insulating tape, just looks a bit tatty, but no leaking on the forks

speaking of the forks, no pitting on the chrome, the bars and the clock surrounds are also very good

seat is excellent, under the seat all the original stickers are in place, as is the toolkit with a selction of kawasaki branded spanners and pliers etc

side panels are both present and correct, and in excellent condition

all electrics work as they should, although maybe the hazards arent quite right, they onyl work when the indicator switch is moved to off centre??

bike is fitted with crash bars

only things that I can see that arent standard are the crash bars, the silencers and the rear indicators

so then have had a browse around the web and a couple of old classic bike mags, and most people asking about £895 for this sort of bike

up on offer here to you lot only, for the sum of £695

as always I would consider swaps PX etc for not really anymore bikes, but maybe harley parts, or what you got??

thanks

Tony

have reason to believe that the engine been fettled on your gixxer :)

the previous owner to me has always played with the engines on all his bikes, sometimes just blueprinted, but also done headwork etc, and know hes played with aall the bikes Ive seen him have, although he never has told me if he did anything to that one?

I was very surprised that it was so quick, bit too quick for me

mart found this out when he was riding it...front end just lifts up off the throttle. and back end slides for a past time...

up she goes

some bugger has pinched the LHS sidepanel now and not very happy

anyone interested in this as a winter hack, cheap runaround???

or else its gonna feel the heat of the gas axe and the engine stored for a project at some time
