Mrs Freak asked me some time before crimbo what I'd like Father Christmas to bring me (as I'd been a good boy all year ;) ) So after much thought and general pondering I decided it was time I had meself a new camping stove. Not that there's anything much wrong with the current one except it's the size of a small aga and uses more fuel then Hemel Hemsted. Seeing as it was my own choice I was left the task of making sure the fat bloke in red delivered the correct item on the big day. I surfed a few sites looking for the marvelous Trangia stoves that most of the club seem to get on with really well until I found exactly what I was looking for... a small, compact, lightweight stove complete with ali pans and (most importantly of all) an integral kettle. The money was transfered and the delivery address was put in Mrs Freaks name so I wouldn't be seeing my crimbo present till the appropriate day. So christmas day comes and I get me pressie all rapped up in nice paper with ribbons and stuff. I tares off the paper and guess what, it aint the fecker I ordered but two versions better. 'WOW, that can't be right I never get luck like that' I remember thinking to meself..... and I was right. I may now be the proud owner of stainless steel, non stick pans with aluminium exteriors for even heat distribution, but I aint got a fricking kettle. OK, so that can be easily put right I hear you say. Ah, buts thats only half the story cause when I popped open the box... there's NO FECKING BURNER EITHER. Basically all I've ended up with.... is a set of pans. Oh well, I expect they'll look great on me old cooker.
Christmas, aint it marvelous.
