Do the locals screw you for huge profits during biker events like they do in N. America?
Ie; hotel room goes from 75 bucks to 300 bucks during bike week in Sturgis or Laughlin or Daytona.
Beer: regular 1.50 GOES TO 4.00 An' it aint even good beer

Nah,
I opt for comfort so that I can ride the next day...
Me an' my OL are on Military pensions and can't take the hard stuff any more...
I do like chuckin' sh1t at the trailer pussies though...
They ride to within 50 miles of their favorite Rally and unload their bikes, roll in the dirt and ride into towm lookin all grungy....

Hotel rooms! Bloody Ell! Biggest Ralley in Britain Is either The Rock and Blues Festival run by the OUTLAWS or Thr BULDOG Rally Run by the ANGELS. Neither of which is necassarilly the Best! Thats subjective! It used to be Kent custom Bike show! That used to be the biggest gathering of bikes, again run by the ANGELS, but that no longer exists. We dont really have anything comparable to Strugis here, but then we dont have a Dysnyland either! :( Farro rally in Portugal is probably the biggest one in Europe, but I could be mistaken, as often is my want! By enlarge, the locals welcome the bikers at Rallies in Britain and they do put the prices up a bit in a few pubs but not all. I dont know about hotel rooms! :D

Forkin' hell *victorian swoon* staying in hotels is totally unheard of at bike rallies here, everyone camps including NABD (National Association for Bikers with a Disability). Those of us who are decrepit bring blow up airbeds and duvets on the back of our bikes and in my case pillows also - there's no room for anything else mind........ :)
As for these trailer pussies, if anyone did that here they would be laughed off the campsite and forced to eat their own bikes. Having said that look at the size of England compared to your gaff - you could ride from one end to the other without too much trouble!
We are off to the Faro rally next year but we are riding from England to Portugal and camping the other end (knowing my riding - see you in 5 years time everyone!)
A bike rally is no fun unless you ride there in the pouring rain and remain wet all weekend and ride home in more rain. :D

Erm...............opinion is divided on that one! I still remember the Farmyard from about 5 years ago when it pissed down so hard it made yer head bleed! I was not a happy bunny on that rally! Took the front mudguard of a kick start 1340 harley shovel with 24" apes on rubber mounts! Woooooooh! Bloody knackered I was when I got there! (and very wet, everything was very wet! infact I had to rinse me sleepin bag out before I could get in it!) The bike had cut out so many times on the way there I had got to the point of ditching it and walking the rest of the way! Ave you felt the clutch on one o those things! Sheesh! My arm still aches thinkin about it!Gimme sunshine an a Yam 1100 virago anyday! Avin said that, I will never forget some o those damp rallies, they ave a bit of a thing to them that sunny ones dont!

I see from the picture that both sides of the pond have the good old portaloos in common. Do they rapidly become the same stinking stygian holes of foulness over there that they do over here? :(

Yea! I quite like damp rallies come to think of it! Last time I was at the Mad Axeman it was dry as hell! So dry you could watch your breath cristalize in front of your face! I remeber trying to open me tent and found it to be frozen solid! I mean the tent was like made of sheet metal instead of fabric! Oh! the joy I felt as i unrolled me sleepin bag and found it too was crackling with Ice! Hehehe! never the less I lived to ride another day! JUST! :p :D Bye the way, I wouldnt advise anyone try riding to the Axeman with an open face helmet! Not funny! Not funny at all! :o

... I'm sure that if "tipped" enough, the fellows who sucker the swilly things out will ensure that the one sitting outside yer sidelot will not become too rancid...
There are usually enough of 'em that overflow is not a problem...

You hit the nail on the head.
we have stayed in tents before, but because to the distances on the average day, I don't want to be screwin with a tent in the dark.- Although screwin' IN one is acceptable! ;)
We usually put on about 700 to 1400 km per day (talk about monkee butt) and the overall trip is around 6000 to 11000 km, depending on how much sightseeing we do and how much time we have.
I guess that at the end of the day, I'd much rather enjoy a nice Rum & Coke, while I get the circulation back into my butt...http://www.wardway.com/grills/sauces/buttrub.gif :D

Biker women here are different to the Colony mate, we don't do thongs and chaps, bottox or fake tits, we are real women, tough women who run on cold with extra ice. We swim in the sea in winter, we don't wear braces on our teeth, we run with the biker pack (unless it is raining when we make the men stay at home and do the DIY), we fight and grow beards - grrrrrrrr!
Our men spend a lot of time dreaming about Canadian women :D

Oh...Has the media ever done a number on you, my girl.
The women you refer to are what we call POSERS. The are not the real deal. You see them in downtown Sturgis, Laconia, Daytona etc; and in the bike mags. You don't EVER see them actually riding a bike, or better yet riding with the pack.
Chaps- Very practical way of keeping your jeans clean and free of bug guts. And yep very sexy when worn with a thong. (sans bug guts)
My OL is a prime example of what you describe yourselves as. Someone willing to go the distance. With your knees in the breeze, because you love the ride and freedom it affords you...
Cheerz ;)
